Acceptable Use Policy
DemandLetterTech exists to help one person resolve one genuine dispute with one recipient. Here's what that means in practice.
The core rule: one dispute, one demand, one recipient
DemandLetterTech is built for individuals and small businesses with a genuine, specific dispute against a single identifiable person or business. It is not a mass-messaging tool, a marketing platform, or a way to contact large numbers of people at once.
Prohibited uses
You may not use DemandLetterTech to:
- Harass, threaten, intimidate, or repeatedly contact someone without a genuine dispute
- Impersonate another person, business, attorney, court, or government agency
- Collect a debt on behalf of someone else, or act as a third-party debt collector (including purchased or assigned debt) without a legitimate, disclosed basis for doing so
- Send bulk, repeat, or templated outreach to multiple recipients as a form of marketing or debt collection at scale
- Make claims you know to be false, exaggerated, or unsupported by any facts
- Submit a "dispute" where no real disagreement or claim exists
- Upload or transmit unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory, or sexually exploitative content
- Attempt to interfere with, reverse-engineer, or abuse the platform's verification or delivery systems
How we enforce this policy
We use a combination of automated checks and human review to flag activity that looks like it violates this policy. Depending on what we find, we may:
- Flag a demand for manual review before it can be sent
- Block a send entirely
- Restrict an account's ability to create or send new demands
- Suspend or terminate an account, with or without notice, for serious or repeated violations
We aim to be fair and proportionate, but we also act quickly when there's a risk of harm to a recipient or misuse of the platform.
How to report a problem
If you receive a demand that you believe violates this policy — or you notice suspicious activity on the platform — please report it. Reports are reviewed privately.
